On September 14, 2025, North Star will launch its 37th charity event—Movie Day at Elgin Mills Imagine Cinema! This event provides a sensory-friendly environment for children with autism and other special needs. Parents are encouraged to bring their Access 2 Card, and if there are any special circumstances, please contact Benny in advance.
This time, we will be screening the latest animated movie “Bad Guys 2”. It’s a wonderful choice for our children and their parents to enjoy together. In partnership with Imagine Cinema, the theater can adjust lighting, sound levels, and other settings according to our needs. Families don’t have to worry—children can run and jump freely, the space is completely safe, and no restrictions are required. Parents can also relax and enjoy this beautiful time.
This movie event is specially sponsored by Shero Li, founder of Dantitude Dance & Entertainment. Shero is not only the founder and lead dance instructor of Dantitude, but also active on the international stage—as a judge for Miss Universe Canada, Miss Globe Canada Grand Finals, and choreographer for the Miss Tourism World Global Finals. She is also a Certified Yoga & Zumba Instructor. As a member of Beautiful Vision Charity Association and a board member of North Star Sports Home for Special Needs Children, she has long supported children with special needs and their families through dance and love.
Even more meaningful, this movie day is also a special way to celebrate the upcoming birthday of her son, Cameron, on September 20. Shero hopes to share the joy of this occasion with North Star families, spreading love and warmth to more children. Let’s come together in the glow of the screen, with laughter all around, and spend a warm, unforgettable movie time together. 💖
After the movie, from 1:00–9:00 PM, there will be the LoveMax Charity Festival—a large outdoor charity carnival at Richmond Green Park, jointly organized by the Canadian Youth Chamber of Commerce and TSOne. The festival will feature fun games, delicious food, live performances, a pet party, a sunset concert, a charity art exhibition, and more! All charity donations from the event will go toward supporting NorthStar’s future charity programs.
