On August 8, 2025, So Golf Academy in Markham opened its doors to special needs families for a warm and welcoming Introduction Session. From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the academy’s facilities at 7725 Birchmount Rd Unit 29 & 30 became a lively space filled with laughter, curiosity, and connection.

Families were greeted by the friendly So Golf Academy team, who had prepared an evening designed to make golf accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for everyone. Children and parents were introduced to the basics of golf, guided by patient and encouraging coaches.

The session offered:

  • Hands-on golf experience with tailored guidance for each participant

  • One-on-one interaction with coaches to learn about techniques, safety, and the benefits of golf

  • Community connection — families had the chance to meet others, exchange experiences, and build supportive networks

For many families, this was the first time experiencing golf in an inclusive environment. Parents shared how the session helped their children work on focus, coordination, and self-confidence, while also enjoying a new sport in a stress-free setting.

The event wasn’t just about golf — it was about creating an atmosphere where every participant, regardless of ability, could feel welcome, valued, and capable of success.

So Golf Academy looks forward to hosting more events like this, continuing to promote inclusivity through sports and inspiring children to discover their potential.
