NorthStar StormRiders Hockey Team Officially Enters the Hockey Canada System

We are thrilled to share an exciting milestone for the NorthStar community.

The NorthStar StormRiders Hockey Team has officially been registered in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) system. This marks a historic step forward for our program and for the children and families who have been part of this journey.

For the first time, our players are now part of Canada’s official hockey structure.

This achievement belongs to every child, parent, coach, and volunteer who believed in this dream.

What This Milestone Means

Becoming part of the Hockey Canada registry means that:

• NorthStar is now an officially recognized hockey organization in Canada

• Our team can register players and teams within the national hockey system

• Our program continues moving toward a more structured, professional, and sustainable future

Looking Ahead: International Competition

The journey is only beginning.

Next year, the NorthStar StormRiders Hockey Team plans to officially participate in competitions organized by Special Hockey International, a world-class organization that provides hockey opportunities for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Through these events, our players will have the chance to:
