Sunshine, Laughter, and Togetherness: NorthStar’s Summer Gathering at Ottawa

Today, families from NorthStar’s Ottawa branch and Toronto headquarters gathered at beautiful Lake Leamy for a joyful summer celebration filled with sunshine, laughter, and connection.

The sparkling lake, sandy beach, and warm summer weather provided the perfect setting for a variety of outdoor activities. Some participants tried paddleboarding and enjoyed the refreshing breeze on the water, while others played beach volleyball and soccer. Everyone also came together for a relaxing picnic, sharing delicious food and stories.

The children were undoubtedly the stars of the day. They ran, explored, and laughed freely by the lake, making new friends and creating wonderful memories. Meanwhile, parents had the opportunity to connect and exchange experiences. Old friends reunited, new friendships began, and the entire lakeside was filled with warmth and happiness.

This event was more than just a summer outing—it was a meaningful celebration of connection and community. Although our families came from different cities, the care and companionship we shared reminded us of the strength and unity of the NorthStar family.
