Past Events

In 2024, NSNS organized over 30 charitable events, offering a variety of activities such as weekly ice skating, peddling, bi-weekly movie nights, basketball, volleyball, football, skiing, and more. These events engaged children and youth with autism and other special needs, fostering a sense of community and inclusion. More than 5,000 participants, including parents, educators, community members, and professional coaches, came together to support and empower these children through fun and meaningful experiences.

 2025 Events

In 2025, NSNS is set to organize even more meaningful and interactive charitable events. Building on our previous activities, we will introduce new programs tailored to the needs of children and youth with special needs, including robotics, pottery, chess, skateboarding, tennis, and more. These initiatives aim to foster engagement, creativity, and skill development in a supportive environment.

We welcome everyone to join us and learn more about these exciting upcoming events.

Buddyship Program

Buddyship is a long-term public welfare initiative that provides one-on-one peer support for children with autism and special needs. The program aims to foster meaningful connections, build social confidence, and create a supportive environment through individualized companionship.

The online component of Buddyship is led by Kathy and her partners in the United States, who bring years of experience in inclusive education and virtual mentorship. The in-person activities are organized by NorthStar Special Needs Society (NSNS) in Canada, offering children face-to-face interaction, encouragement, and care.

Together, this global collaboration ensures that every child has access to a buddy — anytime, anywhere.
